According to an official circular dated on October 22, the joint bachelor degree program in early childhood education between Hubei University of Education (HUE) and Northeastern State University (NSU) of USA is included in the approved list of Sino-foreign Cooperative Education Program (SFCEP) in the first half of 2020 by the Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE), which grants the joint program the access to enrolling students in the fall of 2021 in the national general higher education enrollment plan.

NSU, established in 1851 in the northeast of the Oklahoma state, is one of the prestigious public institutions of higher education with long history  in the US Midwest. With education as its characteristic and preponderant discipline, NSU offers degree programs from bachelor to master. Taking that advantage, NSU is entrusted by the Oklahoma State Department of Education to take charge of local teachers qualification accreditation.

It is reported that a total of 32 SFCEPs have been ratified this time, among which 5 are at masters level and 27 are bachelor one. HUEs program is the only one to get approval in Hubei province. (Translation: CHENG Ruixin, SHI Yuxin, WANG Jing, WANG YUwei, WEI Zishan; Revision: LIU Hui; Editing: CUI Qing)
