APPLICATION BROCHURE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS TO HUBEI UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION 学院简介 湖北第二师范学院，创建于1931年，是一所以教师教育为主要特色，教育学、文学、理学等学科为主要支撑的省属普通本科院校，是湖北省教师教育的重要基地之一。美国有硅谷，中国有光谷。学校地处中国光谷核心区，校园面积1718亩。学校设15个二级学院，开办49个普通本科专业，全日制在校生1.7万人，教职工约1000人。另外，湖北省中小学教师继续教育中心、湖北省普通教育干部培训中心、湖北省教师资格认定中心等省级教师培训、研究和管理机构设在我校，学校在服务、引领全省基础教育改革与发展中发挥着重要作用。 Established in 1931, Hubei University of Education (HUE), a key undergraduate tertiary institution under Hubei Province, offers excellence in teacher education as one of the core center of teacher education across Hubei, with disciplines stretching from K12 education, liberal arts to sci-tech. HUE is located in the downtown of “China Optics Valley”, with a camps of 114.5 hectares. At present, there are 15 colleges at the university, 49 undergraduate programs, roughly 17000 full-time students and 1000 faculties. In addition, three governmental administration organs at provincial level are set at the university, they are: Continuing Education Center of K12 Teachers, School Principals Training Center, and Accreditation Center of K12 Teacher Qualifications. Accordingly, HUE has played a vital role in leading the K12 educational reform and development locally all over the Province. 学校非常重视国际化开放办学，现与美国、英国、澳大利亚、新西兰、日本、韩国等国家开办有多形式的学历教育和短期大学生交流项目。同时我校是国家汉办和湖北省教育厅指定的每年派往东南亚国家汉语志愿者的师范高校之一。学校为外国留学生开设的短期汉语进修课程和学历教育的语言进修课程，由专职对外汉语教师授课，重点提高汉语的听、说、读、写能力和体验中国文化。我们热诚欢迎对中国语言和文化感兴趣的海外朋友来湖北第二师范学院学习。 Globally, the university attaches great importance on international exchanges and cooperation, and at present it maintains a variety of overseas programs in joint diploma education and short-term academic visits with partners from the United States, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Korea. Also, we are one of the key universities appointed by State HANBAN (Confucius Institute Headquarters) and Hubei Provincial Education Commission to deploy Chinese volunteers to South Asia countries each year. HUE also provides short-term Mandarin Chinese training and bachelor degree programs for international students. These programs mainly focus on Chinese listening, speaking, reading, writing and cultural exploration. The international students who are interested in Chinese language and culture are warmly welcomed to study in the university and commence their journey of exploration of over five thousands years’ Chinese history and culture here inside and outside the campus. A 招生类别、学制与入学申请时间 Programs & Study Period 1. 短期班 Short-term Chinese Training Program 每个班期限不定，一般为3周到6周，可根据对方需要开设课程。除学习汉语外，还根据需要安排文化活动和旅游。全年接受团体报名。 The training program lasts from 3 weeks to 6 weeks according to trainee’s needs and requirements. Apart from language learning, this program would usually arrange various cultural activities and travels upon students’ requests. Group applications are welcomed all the year round. 学校为外国留学生开设的汉语进修课程，由专职对外汉语教师授课，从听、说、读、写等诸方面进行培训。学校根据学生汉语水平，将学生分别编入从零起点开始的初、中、高三种程度不同级次的班级，实行小班教学， 欢迎联系国际交流合作处咨询和报名。 We provide Chinese language courses for international students. Our professional teachers will help the students master the language in listening, speaking, reading and writing. In order to guarantee the teaching quality and effect, we will divide the students into different classes of beginning, middle and high levels according to their Chinese language proficiency. The number of students in each class will be strictly kept small. Those who wish to enter advanced studies in Chinese or a short-term cultural training program can contact the International Office of the University at any time. 非学位生学习结束时，达到有关要求者，发给结业证书，未达到要求者，发给学习证明。 A non-degree student will be issued a certificate of completion of studies upon conclusion of learning provided the relevant requirements have been met. One who has failed to meet the requirements will be issued a transcript. 2．语言进修生学制为半年至两年，可随时与我院办公室联系 Programs for Chinese language students: Chinese Language students, who intend to study for half a year to two years, please contact the Admission Office for details at your convenient time.
B 申请条件及所需提供申请材料 Eligibility & Application Documents Required 语言进修生 Chinese Language students: 申请条件Eligibility：16 周岁以上Age 16 or above 申请材料 Application Materials: ①《外国留学生学习申请表》 Application Form for International Students ② 申请人护照复印件 A Copy of the applicant’s passport ※ 所有申请者的学历证明及成绩单必须是中文或者英文；日文，韩文材料应附有译文公证件。 Diploma and transcripts should be in Chinese or English. Japanese or Korean version needs to be translated into Chinese or English and should be notarized. ※ 申请者应当身体健康、品行端正。Applicants should have no criminal record and in good health. The applicants’ requirements and application time might subject to change without notice. C 申请办法和步骤 Application Method and Procedures 1. 申请办法 Application Method 凡申请到我院自费留学或者读语言短期进修的外国学生请直接向湖北第二师范学院国际学院报名。秋季入学时间九月二十日。 Self-supporting students should apply directly to the Admission Office of School of International Education, Hubei University of Education. Date of admission: September 20th 2. 申请步骤 Application Procedures Step one：Ask for Application Form for International Students from International Office, Hubei University of Education or download it here: APPLICATION FORM FOR INT'L STUDENTS, fill in and email to: intoff@hue.edu.cn 第二步：将申请表、报名费和其他相关材料最迟在报名截止日前直接邮寄、传真或通过E-mail 至湖北第二师范学院国际学院。 Step two:The Application Form, application fee and other related documents should be sent by post, fax or E-mail directly to Admission Office before the application deadline. 第三步：学校将审核材料，向被录取人寄发《录取通知书》和《外国留学人员来华签证申请表》（JW202） Step three:Hubei University of Education Admission Notice and Visa Application for Study in China (Jw202) will be sent to the students who have been admitted. 第四步：被录取者本人持《录取通知书》、《外国留学人员来华签证申请表》和《外国人体格检查记录》到中国驻外使馆办理来华签证（X 签证或F签证） Step four:Admitted students should take Admission Notice, Visa Application for Study in China （JW202）and Physical Examination Record to the local Chinese embassy to apply for visa to China(X or F visa.) 第五步：被录取者本人持《录取通知书》、JW202表、护照、本人登记照片8张及体格检查表（血液化验单、X光片、心电图原件等），按入学通知书上的日期准时来校报到。并在入境后30天内办好居留申请手续。无故不按时报道即取消其入学资格，确因特殊情况不能在规定日期内报到者，要事先与学校取得联系，获准后方可延期入学。 Step five: Admitted students should bring Admission Notice, Visa Application for Study in China （JW202），passports, personal registration photos (8 for each person) and Physical Examination forms (including the original blood text report, X-ray photo and the original of electrocardiogram) to register at Hubei University of Education within the registration period written in the Admission Notice and obtain the Residence Permit within 30 days after entering China. Otherwise, they will lose their students status. Exception can be made to student who has informed the school of their special reasons and whose delay has been permitted. D 费用COSTS: 1．汉语短期班学费（每人）每周人民币1400元（200美元）。此费用不含离开文化旅游费用。 Tuition fee for each student of a short-term class of Chinese language: RMB1400yuan (US$200) per week. 3. 教材费、生活费和医疗费自理 The medical, living and teaching material costs are paid by the students themselves. 来华学习一个学期以上者必须购买国际医疗保险，保险内容必须包括意外伤害及疾病住院。 Students intending to stay in China for more than one semester shall join international medical insurance for accidental injury and hospitalization. 伙食费：大约每人每天花费30元(US$ 5.0)。 Food cost: In general, the cost is RMB 20yuan (US$ 3.0) per day per person.
