2 April 2019, Dr. Janet Buzzard, Dean for College of Business&Technology of Northeastern State University(NSU) of USA, paid a work visit to HUE with a 5-member delegation. In Meeting Room 4 of the Administration Building, both sides conducted friendly and in-depth exchanges on collegiate education programs. Mr. Liu Hui, Director for International Office, hosted the meeting with the presence of Ms Zhang Hongmei, Ms. Xiao Haiyan and Mr. Xia Shiping—Dean for School of Educational Science, School of Mathematics and Economics and School of Business Administration respectively.
During the meeting, both sides concluded with the consensus that, taking the advantages of similar teacher education history and common aspiration for international education cooperation, the two universities could achieve win-win development through collaboration in the areas of student and faculty exchange, joint master program, overseas teacher training base for Hubei primary and middle school teachers and educational cadres.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the Center of Competency-based Training for Teachers and highly appreciated the university’s teachers' professional skill training facilities and system. In the end, Mr. Li Xuan, Asian Program Coordinator of NSU, taking himself as an salient example, made an interesting presentation about why choosing studying abroad and why choosing NSU to kick off a brand new journey of exploration and self-realization for the students of School of Educational Science.（by Ms. Zhou Ruoyun, revised by Mr. Cui Qing)
